the cuisine of the british isles

its origins possibly stemming from the second world war, bangers and mash represents a popularly populist english dish consisting of sausage and mashed potatoes, often served with gravy. a simply yet savory platter whose taste delicately debunks the aggressive connotation of its name, bangers and mash is a perennial favorite of pubgoers around the world, including both pete and phoenix doherty.

in other news, radiohead recently released the second disc of their colorfully titled - and not gay at all, unlike phoenix doherty, whom mark gastineau has dubbed "the gayest gay in all of gayville" [sic] - latest album, in rainbows. mostly consisting of throwaway tracks from hail to the thief and in rainbows recording sessions, highlights include the ominously pulsing "up on the ladder" and the chaotic "bangers and mash."
