Campaign 2008 analysis

We are in the midst of an historic Campaign for the White House. An African-American Man and a Woman are the frontrunners for the Democratic Nomination. Let us bear in Mind, however, as many Commentators have noted, that Mr. Barack Obama, the winner of his party's Iowa Caucuses, is only half Black: his mother hails from the great State of Kansas, and is more or less Caucasian in Ethnicity. Mrs. Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, is a Woman, and a Woman in Full. May I humbly suggest that the setbacks Mrs. Clinton finds herself facing, may be due to the fact that this Nation is not quite ready for a truly (one hundred per cent) Female President, just as it is surely not ready for an all-Black one. That is to say, an Half-Woman, if such a thing existed, might be better received by the American Public. My good friend Thom Trumbull informs me that such Freaks of Nature, of intermediate or even indeterminate Sex, exist. I am skeptical, but, if he is not simply pulling my Leg with more of his Thomfoolery, I would go so far as to say that such a bisexual Person, as it were, would have a fighting Chance in this Campaign. S/he would appeal to both Halves of the Electorate, Man and Distaff.
